The left fielder continued playing for another two years in independent leagues. Henderson is the league leader in stolen bases and runs, and during the five seasons he played as a 40-year-old, he added 109 stolen bases and 281 runs. But during his final two seasons, 2002 and 2003, he played fewer games, 72 and 30 respectively.
