As a 41-year-old, Pete Rose didn’t miss a single game of the 1982 season. That year he batted .271/.345/.338, with 172 H, 80 R and 54 RBI. Just a few years later, when he was 44, Rose broke the all time hits record held by Ty Cobb. He added 699 hits after his 40th birthday, eventually retiring with 4256 career hits, a record which still stands. The player-turned-manager also holds the record for most at bats.
