Jerry Rice had quite the career before he turned 40: 3-time Super bowl champ, career receptions leader and career receiving yards leader. He turned 40 during the 2002 season. That year, he tallied 1211 receiving yards for seven touchdowns, his longest a 75 yard catch. He continued playing through the 2004 season, when he was 42, and officially retired in 2006 after signing a one-day contract with the 49ers, with whom he played 16 seasons.
