Another curse involving a cover, this one of the Madden games. Just like the SI cover, the NFL players who star on the cover of Madden end up injured or having a terrible season. It all started in 1999, the first Madden cover featured Garrison Hearst. Hearst would go on to break his leg and miss two seasons. Barry Sanders was next, Donovan McNabb suffered from it, as did Peyton Hillis, and so on and so forth. Though Adrian Peterson and Calvin Johnson were both able to escape unharmed after being on the cover.
