[post_page_title]The Curse of the Billy Goat[/post_page_title]
The most famous of all curses was finally broken on a November night in 2016, after 108 years. In 1945, Billy Sianis cursed the Cubs. Sianis, the owner of the Billy Goat Tavern, actually brought his own goat to the game with him, to watch a World Series game between the Cubs and the Tigers. Sianis’ goat, Murphy, had his own ticket, but he wasn’t allowed in the game because of his stench. Sianis then proclaimed that the Cubs will lose this World Series and will never win another, ever again. The Cubs lost that game, and would go on to lose the World Series. It took 108 years for the Cubs to win again.
