Bernard Hopkins became the oldest world champion in 2011, when he defeated Jean Pascal and won the WBC lightweight title. With that win, Hopkins, who was 46 at the team, beat out Foreman for the oldest champion title. In December 2016, Hopkins entered the ring for one last fight, just a month before his 52nd birthday. It was his 67th and final fight, and he lost to Joe Smith Jr. Hopkins boxed for 28 years and retired with a 55-8-2 record.
