The Swedish hockey player was 41 years old when he stepped away from the game. Lidstrom spent his entire career in the Motor City. During his final two seasons, after his 40th birthday, the defenseman played in 82 and 70 games respectively, scoring 27 goals and adding 69 assists combined. Lidstrom is a four-time Stanley Cup winner, 12-time All Star, 7-time Norris Trophy winner and won the Smythe Trophy in 2001-02. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame just three years after he retired.
