Concepción Montaner has continued to practice and get better at the long jump, trying to get as much between her and the competition as possible. She took a year off of competing after the Olympics in order to train, and in 2010 she won gold at the Ibero-American Championships. She went on to compete in the 2011 World Championships where she ended up in 10th place, then participated on the Spanish team in both the 2012 London Olympics as well as the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
