Alina Rotaru is a long jumper hailing from the Balkan Republic of Romania. She is big on jumping, and she used to compete at the professional level in both the high jump as well as the long jump. However, in the 2009 World Youth Championships, Rotaru got only fourth place in the high jump yet scored a silver in the long jump. It was after this that she decided that she would focus all of her efforts on long jumping.
