Maryna Bekh is originally from the small Ukrainian town of Khmelnytskyi in the Khmel’nyts’ka oblast (wow, a few more vowels in that name certainly would not have hurt). The young Ukrainian long jumper has competing since she was a little girl, and has continued to take the Ukrainian track and field world by storm. Bekh began her conquest of the sport during the World Youth Championship back in 2011 where she came in fifth place.
