Alexandra Wester is another German athlete with parents from the African continent. She was born in a small West African town in the tiny African nation of The Gambia to a Ghanan mother and a German father. Wester has not been competing for very long, but as with most athletes, she got injured, forcing her to change up her competing style. Alexandra, who used to do combined events, hurt herself, so now she only does the long jump.
