Even though Lizzie’s younger brother, Matt, is not the main character of the show, he has his own friends, too, and his best friend is Lanny. There’s something unique about this kid, though – he never speaks. While no explanation is ever provided as to why this is the case, Matt and Lizzie’s parents simply think he is shy.
