Nastia Liukin has been around Gymnastics since she was born. Her parents were former Soviet gymnastics champions who escaped the USSR as the Iron Curtain fell, eventually settling in Plano, Texas.
Nastia basically grew up in gymnastics gyms, eventually going to compete in the USA Gymnastics National Championships. She was finally picked to be a part of the US Gymnastics team, winning five medals for the Stars and Stripes at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
