Kristina Baskett is originally from the Seattle, Washington area, but she really got into gymnastics when she was studying at the University of Utah where she was on the Utah Red Rocks Gymnastics Team.
It was while she was on that team that she received the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-American award as well as the Dahl Award. She finished at University of Utah with a BS in mass communications and electronic journalism.
