While Erin Mielzynski may not be a citizen of the United States of America, she is still from the American continent. A Canadian by birth, she began winning at the relatively old age of 19, competing in her very first ever World Cup competition. She would eventually go on to represent the Canadians in the downhill slalom competition during the 2010 Winter Olympics which were held in Vancouver. Good thing she did not have to fly far from her home in the suburbs of Toronto!
