Hilary Lindh was born and raised in the wilds of Juneau, Alaska where she took up the sport of competitive skiing. She was so good the the United States Ski Team decided to ask her to join at the age of 14, and by 16 she had won a World Junior Championships downhill title, the first American to do so. It was in part due to this performance that she was sent to represent the United States in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. It was there that she took home the silver for the USA.
