Diann Roffe has become one of the more well known figures in the world of competitive skiing, especially in the United States. She competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, winning silver in the Giant Slalom. Roffe then went on to compete in the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, winning the gold medal in the super g competition. She was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 2003.
