Resi Stiegler quickly developed a reputation as a strong and persistent skier, and has come to be known for wearing tiger ears on her helmet. In fact, when she went off to go compete in the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy, she had to actually fight with the International Olympic Committee in order to be able to keep the ears on her helmet. She won the battle, but she only came in 11th place in the combined competition, and twelfth in the slalom.
