Picabo Street was born in the awesomely named town of Triumph, Idaho. Interestingly, her parents did not give her a name when she was born, instead allowing her to choose her own name when she turned three years old. Street was eventually asked to join the United States Ski Team, winning the World Cup slalom race when she was 21 years old. She was then subsequently asked to join the United States Women’s Olympic Ski team, and her life changed forever.
