Resi Stiegler was born and raised in the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a place which lives and breathes winter sports. She was born to one Josef “Pepi” Stiegler, himself an olympic ski champion hailing from the Central European country of of Austria. She started skiing at around two years old, and eventually joined the United States Skiing Team at the age of 17. That was also the age when she competed in her first World Cup, coming in 11th place.
