Martin Luther King gave a public speech in 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial calling for an end to racism. During that speech, he delivered the famous “I have a dream” line which became a defining moment during the American civil rights movement.
He outlined his dreams of freedom and equality and helped to shape America from that moment on. This speech was delivered at the end of the famous March on Washington as African-Americans were still fighting for their rights.
