This man is putting himself in real danger. He bravely stood in the path of this convoy of tanks to briefly halt their progress toward Tiananmen Square in the People’s Republic of China. He constantly put himself in front of the tank as it tried to maneuver around him.
His fate is unknown, but his stand against the powers that were dominating his country resonated with millions across the world. There was a media ban in China, so it is thought the man is unaware his actions are so famous. Almost 30 years have passed since the incident, and no concrete information is available to identify who the man was.
