[post_page_title]Earthrise – 1968[/post_page_title]
Astronauts were in space before a man was put on the moon. This picture was taken by Bill Anders in 1968 as he was orbiting the Earth. The shot has been dubbed the most influential environmental photograph that’s ever been taken.
Thanks to this picture many people were inspired to begin the environmental movement in the hopes of preserving the beauty of the planet before it’s gone for good. This was the first color picture taken of the Earth after a grainy black and white one was shot in 1966.
