[post_page_title]Struggling child – 1993[/post_page_title]
Photographer Kevin Carter took this image which perfectly encapsulated the famine that had ravaged parts of Sudan. The young child is collapsed while a vulture is seemingly waiting for the moment it can swoop in and start to pick the bones of the boy.
The child was trying to reach the United Nations feeding center in 1993. This image struck many people, and the public soon started sending money to humanitarian organizations that were helping in Sudan.
